Celebrations of Poland’s Millennium in 1966 took place mainly under the patronage of the Canadian Polish Congress. As a result of diverging opinions between Polish organization representatives, there was a shortage of PAC members in the Millennium Committee.
Regardless of this, they supported appeals to fundraise for the Perpetual Millennium Fund (The Canadian Polish Millennium Fund) which were regularly published by The Alliancer, along with lists of donours. Interestingly, PAC Branch 35 in Red Lake was one of the first organizations that donated to the Fund. Other Alliance branches organized occasional academia, banquets and concerts, joining in this way the general Polish celebrations of Poland’s Millennium.
