How was the Polish Alliance of Canada created?

The Polish Alliance of Canada was created by the fusion of three Polish organizations: the Sons of Poland Brotherhood of Mutual Benefit (established in 1907), The St. Stanislaus Society (established in 1912) and The Progressive Polish Union (established in 1911). These organizations began the documentation of the colourful history of The Polish Alliance of Canada at the beginning of the twentieth century.

The Beginning

“It occurred by putting the Sons of Poland Brotherhood of Mutual Benefit under the care of Our Lady of Czestochowa, Queen of Poland, in Toronto, Ontario…”
